Lyoness Open powered by Sporthilfe Cashback Card – the green golf event

In the course of the Lyoness Open 2016, the Greenfinity Foundation calculated the event’s ecological footprint for the fifth time, continually aiming for a sustainable reduction of the footprint.
Between 2012 and 2015 the ecological footprint per visitor has already been reduced by more than 27% due to targeted measures for environmental protection. The compensation of the personal footprint by supporting the regional project “Generationenwald (generations’ forest) Purkersdorf” played a decisive role in the process.  In addition, the collaboration with regional partners and a considerate use of resources are crucial for the Lyoness Open. The focus of all endeavours is thus a continuous ecological optimisation of the golf event.
Mikael Lundberg, winner of the Lyoness Open 2014, also showed his interest in the Greenfinity Foundation’s commitment and visited the Lyoness pavilion on site.
