Opening of the Greenfinity Gardening Project in the Philippines

On Wednesday, 26th February, the Gardening Project carried out by the Greenfinity Foundation at the Philippine San Roque Elementary School was inaugurated. The headmaster, numerous teachers, 470 pupils and their parents and representatives of the Department of Agriculture, were present.
In this project, the GFF plants a sustainable organic garden including organic fertilizing which provides the school with fresh vegetables. The parents will learn how to grow plants in this manner in order to use this method also at home, which aims at countering malnutrition.
At the opening, the children sowed the first seeds and were very excited about it. They are looking forward to picking the vegetables soon. The parents participating in the “Health and Nutrition Program” of the Child & Familiy Foundation prepared healthy snacks fitting the occasion, which everybody enjoyed.
