On 20th September 2014 the donations that had been collected at the Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity were handed over in Purkersdorf as part of a celebration at “nature park evening”. As in the previous year, one Euro per each car parked at the event benefited the project “Generationenwald” (generations’ forest). The “Generationenwald” is a mixed forest the size of approx. one hectare and had been created and is being maintained by pupils of different schools in Purkersdorf. In 2013 it was honoured as UNESCO Decade Project.
The donations amount totalling 7,450 Euros was handed over in the form of a cheque to the chairman of the nature park Purkersdorf, Dr. Rudolf Orthofer, and the manager, Susanne Käfer.
