The 9th summit of VDA, the German Association of the Automotive Industry, took place in November 2012 at the Hockenheimring under the motto “Elektromobilität erfahren” (Experiencing E-Mobility). The Greenfinity Foundation attended the summit in order to gain interesting information and establish important networks in the area of E-Mobility. Attendants of the summit had the opportunity to test several electric cars, such as Fisker Karma, Mitsubishi MiEV and Smart, on the circuit. In order to effectively present the Greenfinity, a Mitsubishi MiEV was branded with the GFF-design and all attendants even had the opportunity to test-drive it.
The Greenfinity could gain much interesting information about E-Mobility and sustainability due to several presentations by renowned personalities in the automotive industries, for example Prof. Dr. Eike Böhm (President Quality Management Mercedes Benz Cars) and Dr. Ulrich Eichhorn (Managing Director VDA). Also the European Commissioner for Energy, Günther Oettinger, expressed great interest in the summit.
The Greenfinity’s attendance at the summit laid an important foundation for future projects, because greater emphasis is planned to be put on E-Mobility in the future.
