Sustainable projects around the world

see the projects

Applying the motto "Together for our planet. A future together." we are active across the globe in the field of environmental protection. We can only realise our projects with the help of countless partners and supporters and thereby preserve our living environment in the best possible way.

If you would like to actively contribute towards environmental protection and the preservation of natural habitats, then you are at the right place. .

Our project areas

There are four elements in Western culture - fire, water, air and earth. Protecting these four elements should be our priority to preserve our natural environment.

Fire, or in our case the sun, produces the energy required for our alternative energy projects. Without water, there would be no life on earth, for this reason we wish to grant access to drinking water with the help of our water projects. Air, is the element we wish to keep as clean as possible. We wish to achieve this through the reduction of pollutant emission and the ecological footprint. Earth creates our habitat and is the basis for our nutritional projects.

295.000 lt. clean drinking water
is provided by our wells every hour for people in arid regions.

Water is life

While people in many regions around the world are struggling with flood disasters, elsewhere more and more areas are being plagued by drought. Climate change is very likely to shift water cycles even further to extremes in the future. Already, according to a recent report by UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO), 2.2 billion people worldwide lack regular access to safe drinking water. That's one in three people in the world.

Without water, there is no life
Every single person without a secure supply of safe drinking water is one too many. One sustainable way to help people in drought regions gain access to safe drinking water is to build wells. This also prevents people from turning to unsafe water sources like rivers or ponds, which are often full of dangerous pathogens.

Wells for a secure supply of clean drinking water

Less than three percent of the water that covers our planet is drinkable, and reserves are very unevenly distributed. Especially in Latin America, Asia and Africa there are many regions where there is a dramatic water shortage. With its well construction projects, the Greenfinity Foundation is trying to help as many affected people as possible to gain sustainable access to safe drinking water.

Preservation of natural habitats

The conversion of natural forests into agricultural or pasture land for our modern agriculture, the destruction of freshwater habitats or the use of wild land for the construction of settlements and industrial plants - Our modern lifestyle leads to the loss of more and more natural habitats. This has far-reaching consequences for animal and plant life and ultimately for humans themselves. The less natural habitat there is, the more biodiversity is lost.

Preservation of natural habitats

One of our main goals is to help protect natural habitats and thus biodiversity through our projects. That is why reforestation and renaturation are particularly close to our hearts, as is the protection of endangered species.

Alternative energy sources

Our planet's natural resources such as crude oil or coal are not infinitely available. Electricity consumption is steadily increasing, especially due to the increasing permeation of technology in everyday life. To produce enough electricity, natural resources are needed. Which is why the key for non-renewable resource preservation lies in the reduction of energy demand. The use of renewable energy resources that stem from solar radiation, water or wind power spare our resources. These alternative energy production measures are limitlessly available to us and ideally create less pollution.

Harnessing the sun's power
The Greenfinity Foundation especially supports and initiates projects dealing with solar energy. We thereby reduce the amount of pollutant emission, such as particulate matter, and protect the climate by avoiding the production of greenhouse gases. Furthermore, solar energy has an indefinite use.

Sustainable nutrition

From an ecological and health point of view, organic farming is superior to conventional farming. Among other things, it is characterized by the absence of hazardous chemicals, the protection of biodiversity, healthier soils that are not degraded by cultivation, pest and weed control without expensive chemicals, and increased resistance to the consequences of climate change. Especially for people in poorer regions of the world, organic farming for their own consumption, as an additional source of income or even as a livelihood can make an important contribution to their nutritional situation and to improving their family income.
Helping people to help themselves
With its projects focusing on food security, the Greenfinity Foundation works to raise awareness among people in our project regions of the benefits of organic farming and to help them improve their food situation and, in the best case scenario, to be able to build up a secure source of income.

Ecological Footprint

Life leaves its mark. Our actions, every product we consume, our means of transportation - it all requires resources and energy and causes waste and emissions.

The ecological footprint
The ecological footprint shows how much of the earth's resources we require. It calculates how many hectares of land are needed to compensate the resources and means of waste removal required by an individual, a company, or an entire country. Our aim should be to keep this land as small as possible and to give back to planet earth what we have taken. At the moment, we would need the capacities and resources of three earths to sustain mankind's lifestyle.

Recognise. Reduce. Compensate.
Our footprint calculator calculates your share of negative influence on the environment. Aside from offering ideas on minimising the emission of pollutants, the footprint calculator also allows you to compensate for a part of your ecological footprint.

Give and take
For every square meter of your ecological footprint, we will replant a piece of earth within our reforestation projects. Thereby allowing you to compensate for your pollutant emission and preserve our planet's natural resources.

We vigorously pursue the goal of reducing and compensating the ecological footprint by supporting companies or events in becoming CO2-neutral. In doing so, we minimise the damaging effect on our environment.
